Our Senior Pastor

In 2023, we welcomed John Oring and his family to Goulburn Baptist Church. John is married to Alyce and they have 3 children.  John has been in Ministry for 20 years.

He gained a theological diploma in 1999 in PNG and since then has also done other study to further his skills and knowledge. John has held roles such as: Ethnic liaison officer, Christian community worker, Lecturer on bible theology, pig handler, processing plant worker and Pastor. Some of Johns interests include: Spending time with individuals and families outside the church, Gardening, handy-man jobs and music.

Empire Youth Coordinators

Jono and Sarah Woodward have been youth leaders for the past six years. In 2022, Sarah and Jono have taken over the role as Youth Coordinators. Both Sarah and Jono work in local primary schools. During school holidays, they serve on camps that are for kids in out of home care and have a passion for this.
